Kader (Destiny) is a young Turkish girl living in Australia when she discovers she is pregnant. Despite the wishes from her Aunt Hatice, with whom she resides, Kader is reluctant to marry simply for the sake of having a child in wedlock.

She instead chooses to give her child up for adoption to a childless couple, Ali and Meliha. Over the following months Kader's life happily becomes intertwined with that family until she meets James - a visually impaired man - in search of his own way. Suddenly she is forced to rethink her decisions which has a ripple effect to all those around her.
